As part of the Vector Festival 2025 and its theme "404_not_found", an installation was designed that deals with the topic of digital transience and the phenomenon of link red: Using keyboard input, the viewer can type in a web address of their choice. A web crawler analyses the number of digital dead ends and the result in turn controls a real-time visualization in Touch Designer.

Deep-sea cables burrow from the endless sea into the roots of a lonely tree generated from L-systems, while link addresses chase across the screen.
